DENPASAR, Bali entrepreneurs, including those in the logistics sector, are excited about the commencement of the Bali Urban Subway (MRT) project. This MRT project is anticipated to significantly alleviate traffic congestion, which currently impedes logistics distribution. It is also expected to lower transportation costs and reduce delivery times, enhancing overall efficiency.

Dr. A.A Bagus Bayu Joni Saputra, S.E., M.M., Chairman of the Bali Regional Board (DPW) of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarding Association (ALFI) and owner of Bayus Cargo, emphasized the need for the MRT project to adhere to its scheduled timeline. "We hope there won't be any delays," he stated. As the owner of Bayus Cargo, Gung Bayu Joni’s perspective underscores the critical role that timely completion of the MRT project plays in the logistics sector’s growth in Bali.

Gung Bayu Joni also highlighted the importance of advancing the Jagat Kerthi Toll Road construction, particularly the Gilimanuk-Denpasar Toll Road. This infrastructure is expected to mitigate traffic congestion on the Denpasar-Gilimanuk route. "The toll road will enhance traffic flow for both passengers and goods," he said. Improved infrastructure will help reduce logistics costs, shorten travel times for freight, and avoid the need for special restrictions on goods transportation during National Religious Holidays (HBKN).

Furthermore, ALFI advocates for the active involvement of local logistics businesses, like Bayus Cargo, in the MRT project. "We want to be actively involved, not just spectators," he added.
