Bayus Cargo is proud to announce the successful hosting of the FIATA Regional Asia Pacific (FIATA-RAP) Meeting in Nusa Dua, Bali, on July 11, 2024. This significant event, which coincided with the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) of ALFI/ILFA, was inaugurated by Indonesia's Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi.
Themed 'The Future of Logistics Investment: Navigating Towards Sustainability,' the FIATA-RAP Meeting attracted around 400 local and international logistics entrepreneurs. Distinguished attendees included the Chairman of KADIN Indonesia, Arsjad Rasjid, FIATA President, Turgut Erkeskin, FIATA Asia Pacific Chairman, Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, DPP ALFI Chairman, Akbar Djohan, as well as representatives from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and Bali Provincial Transportation Department.
The event also saw participation from various associations such as the Indonesia National Shipowners Association (INSA), the Indonesian Association of Loading and Unloading Companies (APBMI), the Indonesia Shipping Agency Association (ISAA), the Indonesian Port Business Association (ABUPI), the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo), and the management of Pelindo Group.
Vice President Maruf Amin and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, delivered virtual greetings, congratulating the successful organization of the FIATA-RAP Meeting 2024.
In his address, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi highlighted Indonesia's active role in global organizations like FIATA and the crucial role of logistics in supporting goods distribution and procurement for development activities. He also expressed hopes that ALFI and FIATA would support Indonesia's maritime toll program through efficient logistics.
FIATA President Turgut Erkeskin emphasized FIATA's commitment to green logistics worldwide and the importance of supporting members through challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical conflicts.
Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, Chairman of FIATA-RAP 2024, encouraged collaboration for green logistics and appreciated the support from all participants.
ALFI Chairman Akbar Djohan discussed the growing global logistics market, projected to reach USD 18.69 billion by 2026, and highlighted the Asia Pacific logistics market, valued at USD 3.55 trillion in 2024, with expected growth to USD 4.56 trillion by 2029.
This successful event underscores the commitment to enhancing logistics efficiency, sustainability, and collaboration in the Asia Pacific region.
